the results of several short hunts/silver at last!

GRAY GHOST

hello all, here are my results of the last several short hunts i've done. i couldn't remember if i had posted both the dateless large cents i had found, or the treble clef looking thing i found, so i decided to re-post them. the same is true of the indian cents. i finally hit silver today at the old mansion in the woods today! the 1909p half dollar isn't in great shape, but hey, it's a great find! i was relieved! look close, and you'll see the small digger's ding on the edge. oops. i found the '64 quarter in ma's front yard last week, ending a dry spell for me concerning silver. i also found a flattened indian cent near the rr tracks too, you can barely make it out. the 1864 indian i found a couple of weeks ago near a known yankee fort, it's rough, electrolysis didn't help it much. the 1900 indian cent was also found near the old mansion site. the four flat buttons all came from the same site too, one being a flower button face. they all have crude shanks and legible backmarks too. one has a divit in the center, never found one like that before. the ancient looking brass frame buckle was a cool find too. a flattened [and topless] thimble followed in short order. this thimble was found next to a nice confederate enfield on a high bluff overlooking the river. oops, fergot that one! the .58 cal bullets and musketball, along with the shot .44 cal. ball all came from the same spot too. i'll return to this great spot in the fall when all the knee deep vegetation dies off. the ticks are something terrible this year, so into the fields and yards i'll go! all were found with my cibola and pioneer 202. thanks for reading, and hh,
