The Proof Is In The Jelly

I managed to get a few jars of jelly from the black raspberries that we picked while camping. Sure smells good too!

Cooking the berries. A little blurry.

Very interesting Nancy. I bet it is pretty labor intensive. About how many pounds of berries did you start with? And your jars are pints or 1/2 pints? When will Larry be posting his peanut butter recipe?

We picked about 3 quarts of berries, I didn't weigh them. Larry has the scares to prove it and I just got the last of the thorns out of myself yesterday. That's the downfall of the berries, but all worth it in the end! The jars are half pints. It's strange that they're still producing this time of year. VERY STRANGE!!!

Remind me to bring toast next visit, yum yum.

If I have to remind you to bring your "toast", you can forget it. WAIT..............We have a toaster in the camper

Nancy, They are late because of the weather. The upside is the sugar content in the berries will make the jam very tasty. I will bring the butter knife.
