The price of Gold VS Finds

Just something I think will start to happen, if it hasn't already. I think more people are beginning to sell their gold rather than buying. While hawking some finds lately, I asked my wife to check out the show cases. [This was at a jewelry store.] She noticed that more rings are being fitted with non-gold metal. Stainless steel being one major one. Also less gold is being worn out in public these days. Remember all the heavy gold chains worn in the past years. I think that Gold might have become too pricey PLUS it's probably not too healthy to go around flashing it. If you get my drift. Still there are people that price doesn't affect, but locally for me, I don't see them rolling around the parks all glittered up lately. How's it going in your neck of the woods?

I read an interesting post in the Beach and Water hunting forum about how the high price of gold is hurting us. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?26,1127731 The poster indicated that they are finding A LOT more Titanium and Tungsten Carbide wedding rings than ever before. Just a few years ago, they were rare to find. Now they are common place due to gold being out of reach of most people.

Too, I've heard that they are VERY HARD to remove in the Emergency Room due to the hardness of the metal.

May all your ring finds be Gold.

Yeah the more pricey gold gets the less of it we will see. Depending on how our economy goes and the price of our dollar - gold could hit $2000 per ounce sometime soon.
