The Power Of Raw Files

Just got back from Virginia's Eastern Shore and tried my hand at photographing seagulls.

This first shot is right out of the camera in raw mode and shot almost into the sun. As you can see the exposure is way high.

Taking the very same file into Adobe Photoshop CS2 with the Raw Convertor for The Nikon D2X and adjusting it down you get this.
