the power of prayer

Good morning, I really appreiciate each and every one of you and your willingness to pray one for another. Can I share what God has taught me about prayer? First, what a priviliage we have in prayer, Hebw. 4;16, thank you Lord. 1 peter 5;8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary {enemy] the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. The scripture here depicts the devil as a physical enemy[as a example], we cannot [with out devine help] out run, out fight him , without weopons [physical] we are no match for him. But also we know the devil is a spiritul enemy, therefore, we need spiritual weopons to fight a spiritual battle, and a spiritual enemy. I believe God has given man spiritual weopons, His Word, and also prayer, the greatest offensive and weopon we have. God can do the things we cannot. Yes we can do more than pray, but we cannot do more than pray, until after we have prayed. Lord teach us to pray, Luke 11;1

find joy in going to the Lord on behalf of others. Prayers is talking with God, and we should all want to talk with Jesus. Our Best friend! :)

Yes Mike, we should, but its a battle, matthew 26;41, and again I praise God for each and every one you, and the many others in Gods secret service. Many time our prayer life is focused on the troubles in life and on the weak that need encouragement and strength, but we must also remember the strong, that they would be able to stand and withstand, example --we are all targets for the enemy, but pastors, missionarys, and the faithful contending for the faith, --are trophys.

fervent prayer of a righteous man (woman) availeth much! Let us have faith when we pray to move mountains out of the way....(that is our problems which seem like mountains to us)! Also, they can seem like Giants unto us, but there's nothing that God cannot do when we pray believing, for to Him it is done! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

God Bless!
Sister Betty

Good afternoon Betty, yes James 5;16, one of the enemys least favorite truths of God Holy word. The word much is an adjective describing a degree or a amount of something.
