The plug on my DD 6x9 that

plugs into the control box has only four conectors in it the number 3 slot is empty is that normal? Ive just notice it . The 9.5 and my 5.3 has all the conectors in them. Rick...

I just checked a brand new coil and it has all of the connectors. It might have got pushed further down into the connector. Have you tried to take it apart to see if that is the case???

Thanks Brian, Ill try to take it apart it might have pushed in i looked and and didnt see one but ill take it apart if its not to hard to get apart , thanks again Rick

Only 4 wires are used in the coils,there is one pin that has no wire connected, does the coil work ok?

You say only 4 connecters and 1 is vacant--That leave 3 to connect which would not be normal--My stock coil has 5 connectors and (ONE) of the 5 is BLANK which means it is a 4 wire HOT connection-deathwind1-------------------Did I read your Question right??

one of the guys on here a month or so ago called the factory and it is normal.some mxt's have a 4th connecter and some don't.mine does
