went back to the park I have been hitting hard the past week... finally a silver coin! a 1899 Canadian 5 cent, I also managed my second large cent of the year and like my first.. it too was Canadian . add another 9 wheats and 4 IH's , a silver religious pendant.. and I had an OK day! one clad dime today... a 1965.. go figure!

Your luck is like mine. Lots of old Coins but no Silver

the large cent was 5" deep and came in at 01-44,45, super nice tone.... I don't know how anyone missed it all these years... I'm having to fight for all that I get out of this park, the silver 5 cent was a iffy signal very jumpy...I knew there was a rusty nail but I decided to dig anyway...pulled the rusty nail and the silver from the same hole. can't wait to get a smaller coil and go over these spots again.. my junk pouch is full of rusty nails that I just can't walk away from and leave without knowing!

I have finally figured out how to tell those Rusty Nails. They only Squeak when you pull away from them. Good targets hit when you come to them. Sometimes a little difficult to tell whether you are pulling away but circle around and listen for it. Eventually you will quit digging them and be able to tell when a good target is in with the Nails.

Very nice finds! Thanks for the pictures.
