over the skies of China at the beginning of WW II. This was always one of my favorite airplanes, and as a young boy, I had a model of one hanging from the ceiling of my bedroom. Several of the pilots became famous and had long, honorable careers, with some of them retiring in San Antonio, Texas. Kelley (Texas) :)

This is an interesting film clip and really shows how well our boys held up their end during wartime!

The old P-40 was a real war-horse of the air and so well constructed it colud fly with chewing gum and tape repairs!

from a kit, have not seen him lately but pretty sure he finished the kit... he also owns a small helicopter which he has given me and my dad a few rides. I like the take off but the landings are scary.. oj
