[attachment 50284 USSKENNEDU069.jpg]This retired station is on the protected side of Hull,in the bay.Guessing maybe built in the late twenties, until the sixites? It is a shame to see it in this condition, its run down, but appears to have some activities going on...You will see the tracks, used to haul various patrol boats out of the water, for repair or storage. The current "Port Allerton C.G.Station" is only yards away, and very active in patroling Boston Harbor. Here is the front, facing the street.[attachment 50284 USSKENNEDU069.jpg][attachment 50285 USSKENNEDU068.jpg] Here is the ocean side, showing the rails, and maybe a future restoration? The current base, is the building/wharfs in the distance. If you turned starboard out of the rails,in 5 minutes, you would be heading thru the channel, towards Boston.Really beautiful area! May have to bring the Minelab to this area!!
