That forum has taken a heck of a nose dive in the last couple of years, due to the arrogance of a few people over there. If you keep banning posters because you don't like their posts, eventually there'll be no one left. Doesn't sound like good business sense. Anyway, this forum has always been way superior.

The main reason is due e to the type people whom are running the " Treasure D" Thy ban people posing anything in regards to there personal option in ref. brand they use, and if disagree with folks whom run there site you will be " Banned For Life" This why two biggest companies Whites. and now Minlab have chosen drop of there page, due e-mail that many sent company in way they run there web site.

Yeah the guy who runs that forum is just a time bomb waiting to go off. Weird cat.

I got banned about 2 years ago over there. All I did was run an ad to sell an detector accessory I had built. I get an email from a guy I didn't know (at the time) asking if I was a dealer. I replied "who's asking?" I must have hurt his ego not knowing who he was and he went off on me. Cussing and all. Then he said I was banned. I'm back on there now but like this forum better.

that was not of their liking. Seems to be if you did not agree with what that one guy says you were banned. Trouble was you are banned from all forums, not just the one. Missed alot of good buys there too. That is why I went to this site and am glad I did. This one is much more civil and fun.

I was banned from there last year, if I remember correctly. I had made an attempt to post some X-Terra 6-inch coil Field Test results on the Tech forum, and ran into quite a bit of flack from some of the Fisher die hards. Now, there is nothing wrong with thinking that one detector is better than another. We all have our opinions. But eventually, the X-70 / F-75 discussion came down to the fact that Minelab offered the small coil on the X-Terra before FT was able to produce the small coil for the F-75. Without getting into the politics of how some of those forums are "managed", the person leading the "slam Minelab charge" on that forum stated I was a Minelab salesman who was paid to represent their product. When I responded to those comments, stating I did not work for Minelab and was not on their payroll, another post was made stating that he had contacted Minelab and no one there knew who I was or had ever heard of me. I emailed the person(s) in charge of the forum and explained that I felt it was not fair to Minelab to not allow me to share my test results with those interested in the X-Terra. And, I felt as being one of the site sponsors, Minelab had the right to expect their new products to be reviewed and those reviews posted on the sites they help pay for. Apparently my comments were interpreted as being threatening and an attempt to "blackmail" him into allowing me to post. As such, I was banned. Long story short, a couple phone calls were made and I was quickly "unbanned". I also received a phone call explaining that my banning was simply a matter of mistaken identity. Apparently Digger is a common name! Regardless, I am still able to access that forum. (at least for the time being) With Minelab no longer sponsoring it, and the Minelab banner site taken down, who knows what to expect in the future?

We all have our horror stories from things that may have happened (elsewhere) in the past. "Past" being the key word. With that said, I'd appreciate it if we closed the door on this topic and moved on to more positive things. But before we do, let me remind those who may not be familiar with the X-Terra forum of a couple things............ there are plenty of detectorists who enjoy viewing and posting on a variety of forums. I am one of them. And I appreciate the fact that many of you have chosen to participate in this one. We try to maintain a high degree of civility on this forum, and welcome those who enjoy learning more about the X-Terra lineup. However, we do have a few simple rules....... no vulgarity, no profanity and no derrogatory comments about other forum members. If you make product comparisons, do it in a truthful manner and be prepared to support your opinions with factual information. As moderator, I reserve the right to monitor the comments and edit those that may offend others. But in the past couple years, I've not found many reasons to do so.

I went through a bit of withdrawal the past few days while this site was being upgraded. I am glad it is back up and running. Welcome back!!! I look forward to once again sharing our views on the X-Terra. JMHO HH Randy

Thanks for the comments. I got removed from the board once and had to change my name to get back on. The Classifieds and Surf and Sand are good. Just remember to always say relics and never say trash.
