The only find that I'm proud of...

Its been slow around here. Have a lot of non-metal detecting activities to do, so I haven't been out much. But, I did get the opportunity to detect a few times this past week. I took the week off to attend our churches campmeeting. During the week, I went out about once a day and found mostly new coins. During my drives in the countryside, I came across an old train depot. I found a lot of trash there, but did find this old pocket watch. It is missing the winding dial, the hands and the glass front. Sure is heavy! So anyway, here it is...

This years campmeeting was excellent, and I even had a special treat by being able to play in the worship band. I had never played before more than 120 people before, so it was a little nerve wracking to play before 400-500!

It must be nervous at first in front of that many people. That old watch is neat. I have a friend who keeps all old parts of these kind of watches and puts them together. Then he puts it in a display. Dont know as I'd do that as it's not authentic throughout but they do look great in his collections. Steve in so az

Glad you got out to detect and found this pocket watch. If it could tell you its story of how it got lost that would be great.

Glad you were also able to play and bless all those who watched you perform. Music is a blessing (as long as its music  unlike rap).
Well done.
