The only detector in town ....?

Parkit

New member
Who'd a thunk it, 235 coins from two of the local schools in two days. Two rings, 2 earrings, 161 coins from the front lawn of the high school and 74 coins from the local middle school. If anyone had asked me to pick the areas most probably "cleaned out" these two would have been at the top of my list. The middle school I just hit today, a nice big fat practice field apparently littered with coins. I started detecting with no real pattern, just looking for hot spots to see if it would be worth the time, and left after getting tired of bending down to pluck coins out of the ground. So... do I own the only metal detector in town?

Possibly. It does happen. Also, many people who are into the hobby figure themselves too serious for such silliness as schools and parks and such.
Plus honestly, Id say most casual users are not very good at it to be blunt. Ive come behind others who left obvious signs of their presence and found goodies.
