The one day I decide NOT to take my camera to work...

Ok, I don't think I told you all this, but I'm a cook at a country club. High-dollar, hoighty-doighty stuff. I've been taking my camera with me the past several weeks, as I never know when I'm going to see something with an interesting presentation, or new menu items. When I do see these things, I'll take a picture of it, and the the next day, email that pic to my Sous Chef.

Well, if you read my post below about getting buzzed by a jet, it is Race Weekend here in Jackson County, MI. MIS (Michigan International Speedway) is going to host the race this Sunday. Joy. Traffic. Tourists. Yee-freaking-hah.

One of the odd things, though, is that one or two of the drivers will come out to my club to eat dinner. I'm not sure if they're using a reciprocal billing agreement with their home country club, or, if they just happen to know one of the big-wig members and come in as a guest, or what. Usually, it's Rusty Wallace. When the last race was here, I saved the ticket that came up for Mr. Wallace's dessert order, as it had his name on it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it signed.

Last night, Mark Martin's car was in the parking lot of my job! But, Mr. Martin himself wasn't there, as his plane was delayed. I'm taking my camera in today, as we're coming out with some new menu items. Maybe, just maybe, I'll get a picture of something else or someone else.
