The one big sharps I dug yesterday has a hole in the base????

Could it be a Gardiner explosive bullet? It read bad & the I'd was lower than normal. I've dug .58 explosive bullets before & the patina is a match. What do you guys think??? Thanks for the help. HH TIM

It sure does. I'm going to take it over to the horse solder in a week or two & let them see it. I live close to Gettysburg guys. I don't know though we've been finding carved bullets there. A solder might have ran a worm up into it. Wishful thinking. Thanks for l:fisher:ooking.
 
I'm pretty sure it isn't. After comparing it to one of my 58 cal Gardiner explosive bullets it weighs to much. Oh well I was hoping that it was. Thanks for looking. HH
