the old mansion in the woods gives up more

GRAY GHOST

New member
hello all, i went back for a short hunt in the woods today at the old mansion site i've been hunting for a while now. it's quickly becoming overgrown, so now i have to move faster or wait until fall. i went back to the exact site that olddigger and myself went to a couple of weeks ago near the old house. the four pieces of harmonica reeds at the base of a huge pine tree was a surprise. a chewed .58 cal. three ringer followed, then the shot three ringer. i found the percussion cap on top next to the dropped three ringer. the two flat buttons were deeeep, about 10" or so, the smaller one very crudely made, and with a good shank. the four hole button was cool to find too. it might be civilian. last weekend finally found a 1949 p cent, only the second cent [the other a dateless large cent] i've found so far. the ticks are really starting to come out now too. arrgghhh! but hey, it's fun! enjoy, and hh,
