We've been allowed to hunt here for some years now. Some good days and some not so good days. Nature of the relic hunt, I guess. Today was good for my brother though! Not too awful for me..got at least one button! The script I was really nice. Can't get a date on the LC. Any guesses on the other piece? Rosette maybe? Thanks for looking. Robert
 
Very nice finds. Congratulations on the large cent and the items. Could it be an adornment on a trunk or something like that? Possibly a saddle? Would be interesting to know what it was from. Cool button too! Thanks for sharing.
 
Thanks Nancy. Pretty sure now the lead-filled piece is a rosette. Here's a picture from Albert's button book.
