The old fashioned and hard way to detect..

Uncle Willy

THe battery packs weighed about 40 pounds. This is what Charles Garrett started out with as did all the oldtimers.

that R. G. Revis wrote a pretty interesting story, THAT WASN'T FINISHED. Bet Uncle Willy knows this guy, like every morning in the mirror.
Thanks,

Great story Bill. What ever happened to all his treasure?

For years he had it in a museum in gold country in California at Amador City on the 49'er highway, then he was murdered and later it was sucked up by some organization whose name I can't recall at the moment. I tried to trace it down years ago with little luck. He was the greatest treasure hunter of them all and lived and breathed treasure. Here's a pic of it.

When was this published and when did Frank Fish pass? Did you know him personally? Too bad the treasure is missing but it might turn up some day.

You have to get busy on that book, Bill!

This story that I wrote was published in Gold & Treasure Magazine in 1998. Frank was gone before that. I always wanted to get down to his museum and meet him and see all his goodies but never made it before he was killed.

Bill.
