performance in the red hot soil of Virginia. I am going there and was going to take it along to see how it does in a hunt the DIV. Does any one know how it performs in highly mineralized soil?

You know I was thinking the same thing. Though I am not going to DIV, I thought that would be the one detector I would take. Rusty at Tesoro hunted for gold in Australia, where the soil as I understand it is very mineralized, you might want to call him. Please let us know how it performs.

The Lobo SuperTRAQ was built for highly mineralized soil. We use it at Rich Hill, in the Weaver Mountains of Arizona. It might as well be iron dirt. Rusty taught me and my two chief prospecting instructors to use this machine in tough conditions - and it works! Normal - Disc between 3-4 - Sens between 6-7 - Thresh a mosquito hum - Terry

I had one year ago.I used for relics and it did well.Though in southern tenn.I did run into ground it wouldn't hunt(In Disc Mode.)
If I'm not mistaken the gb only works in the all metal mode.

The automatic ground balancing and tracking works in all three modes but works most smoothly in all metal mode. You would only switch from all metal to discriminate in really trashy areas or in black sand - where you could also switch to Alkali if you had to (giving away sensitivity and depth). In discriminate mode there is no threshold sound because the Lobo uses Silent Search Discrimination. The Lobo is one of the most sensitive VLF machines on the market, and in the right hands a real money maker! - Terry
