The metal detecting industry has sure been an
interesting adventure to follow for decades, and that especially relates to search coils. We have to consider the various:
• Types of search coil designs.
• Search coil sizes (actual physical measurements).
• Search coils a manufacturer decides to assign models as a 'standard use' coil.
• Search coil application, such as site environment, mineralization.
• The type of targets likely encountered at a site (ferrous or non-ferrous), and the amount of targets (well spaced and infrequent or in very dense and in close relationship).
• We need to consider actual in-the-field use and not an imagined
'best guess' at how they work.
• We also need to consider what we have and are using, and if a different coil would benefit us.
• 'Fad' or simply chosen due to a 'popular trend.'

I have the round 12x10 concentric would you stay with this coil or go to the 11x8 inch wide scan coil to do the same thing you are doing now.
Vague question. Share more info with us, such as:
What other coils do you have?
How often do you use the 10X12 Concentric coil?
WHY do you use the 10X12 Concentric coil?
What benefits or purpose do you feel you have or need to use the 10X12 Concentric coil?
What are you searching for with that coil, and in what type of environment? Dirt, grassy, urban parks and schools, rural homesteads, ghost towns, cellar holes, beaches, sports fields, ???
Since you are asking about a different coil:
Why do you think you need it?
How do you think the 8X11 will improve your success afield compared with the 10X12?
Have you considered any other coils?
Is it problem trash or iron debris that is the issue?

I have some questions about this coil (the new RSD 8X11 DD).
Answer the above and then ask more specific questions with useful and helpful information, as that might help the readers.

I have the elderado, the bando II,The tejon which detecto would you put this coil on or would it make any difference.
Changing search coils will generally make a difference, and those could be good or bad based upon what coils they are compared to and the sites to be searched. For me and the sites I generally hunt, I like what I have for my Tesoro's and, from experience, I wouldn't put it on any of my Tesoro's for the sites and conditions I search.

I myself was thinking of trying it out on the elderado. looking for some input on how well this coil is working for anyone using it on any of these detectors.
Last September I had two µMAX sized Eldorado's, a Silver Sabre II, Silver Sabre µMAX, original Bandido, Bandido II, and Bandido II µMAX. On of those attending out ghost town outing had purchased a Tejón with several search coils, but not a smaller, 6" sized Concentric. That's what I use on all of my Tesoro's for most places I hunt due to the abundant trash, brush, and challenging conditions with a lot of dense, closely-spaced junk, especially iron (nails, etc.).
We were hunting old RR ghost towns that I have been hunting since 1969 and nail must be dealt with. So he could learn his new-to-him Tejón and all the search coils supplied, we used my Nail Board Performance Test, laying in on the ground. A simple yet efficient test to compare a detector and coil's abilities to unmask a penny-sized coin surrounded by four iron nails in a fixed position. All Nail Boards I had made up are the same.
I usually use and Indian Head Cent or a modern Zinc Cent to mimic the I.H. size and conductivity. Instead, he used a smaller-size barber Dime he had found the night before. There are four marked directions to sweep, and a left-and right approach from each direction makes a total of 8 possible hits. He had the new RSD 8X11, the Tesoro 6X10 off a Lobo SuperTRAQ, and a new NEL Sharpshooter DD coil. The best any of them could do, once you figured out the best sweep speed was 1 hit out of 8.
At that point he was kind of bummed because he was in these three ghost towns but didn't have a 6" Concentric and the three DD's wouldn't work well in that dense iron nail test. I asked if he had any other coils and he did. The stock 8X9 Concentric. I told him to try that as he might be surprised. He was because it provided 8 out of 8 performance.
In my opinion, and that of quite a few savvy, experienced, and avid detectorists I know, there seems to be a popular trend to offer a DD coil as standard on many models, even low-end units, and quite often the standard DD coils are too large for 'normal' or 'average' day-to-day hunting that most hobbyists do I have used DD coils since 1971, but I only use a DD coil IF it works and IF it works WELL, and that's just as much a factor of the particular detector design as it is the search coil design.
I also like and use Concentric coils on the models that have provided me the best performance with their design with that coil. I have used many DD coils on many different Tesoro models, and for the most part, I don't care for them. An exception is the stock coil on the µMAX Diablo which I am still trying to find a clean specimen of. ALL of my Tesoro's have a 6" Concentric coil mounted, and ALL of their standard Concentric coils are on their own lower rod in the coil tote for use ... if needed.
Of my other detectors I use and that travel with me, I have a 5½X10 Concentric on my Nokta FORS Gold+ and a 5½X10 DD on my Makro Gold Racer. They also have a round 5" DD on a spare lower rod, and a 5½X10 DD on a rod for the Gold+. My FORS CoRe sports the small
'OOR' DD coil, but I have the standard 7X11 mounted for hunting more open, sparse-target areas.
So, you can see I don't have anything against a DD coil ... as long as it works on a detector that also works well for the site conditions and my search wants and needs. But in this description, I know what I want and need. Your post leaves me wondering what you need a different coil for and why.
