THE NEW 9'' AND 13'' COILS

Nokta Detectors

Active member
Hello all..... some of you guys have been asking for 9'' and 13'' coils for the Kruzer...it is done.... we have developed these and will start shipping them at the same time with the Anfibio series.

Both coils are compatible with the Anfibio and Kruzers.

Thank you!

Perfect timing, guys will be lining up for them...........:detecting:

Impact.?

The impact may be their best newer unit along with the racer, now they are rushing to make new machines not sure if that is the best idea. Support your product for up to five years and offer software updates.

yup , not rushing to buy another , needs to be more testing in canada . i believe we have the worst coins going . and yes at least updates and "new accessories" that are compatible with the "Flagship" machine . I'm not a fan of the internal cable system

I have been using the Impact, MMK and Anfibo in Canada for the past 3 years. I have no issues with finding Canadian clad coins. All of them, has increased my clad count as well as found more in areas I have covered numerous other times with other brands and model detectors............

The Racer 2 and the Impact ARE some of the better detectors to come along in recent years. No argument on that point.

However, I have seen many manufacturers discontinue some models for reasons of their own decision and not based on detector performance. Just due to parts availability or maybe slower sales for one or two models simply due to physical design or whatever reason the consumers lacked interest. My two CoRe and one Relic devices are not going anywhere except out afield to find stuff in densely trash-contaminated sites with a lot of nails and other iron because they are almost unmatched by other detectors I have used/tried side-by-side. So while they are simple and reliable performances for me and my needs, the newer offerings are as well. Often just the way they came, too.

Updates? Sure, they can be a good thing, but they are going to be limited. You can't fix or add new things to digitally designed detectors because not all functions and features are 'updatable.' Besides, it is only logical to engineer an update based upon a need to fix a glitch in design, or to provide a change that a LOT of consumers are asking for and that is within reason to do an update. Once a detector has an update or two, maybe three or four, you are likely to be at a limit where updating is practical. With the Kruzer and Multi-Kruzer and now the pending Anfibio 'series, Nokta - Makro only eliminated a few models. They have not discontinued the Racer 2 or Gold Racer, nor the Impact or AU Gold Finder. Those four land-based, non-waterproof models are still listed on the new Nokta-Makro Detection Technologies Metal Detectors website. This gives folks a nice selection of a lot of detectors to choose from.

Just my thoughts.

Yes i have also used many machines that can't see our coins, and the Impact is better than most but i have also seen the impact pass over a loonie with a 4 as the vdi , (Deep mode / 0 disc ). i would like to see more testing here , and maybe an updated all metal mode .

Was it one of the newest 2018 composition Loonies? Yes that will trouble most detectors and throw them into the low iron range as will Canadian clad on edge. Deep mode is more for relics and a slow speed is required. It may not be the ideal mode for clad coin hunting. I used Deep mode at 5khz, 5.5x9" DD coil for silver coin hunting. Also, have you tried the 7" concentric coil? It is my favorite for coin and clad coin hunting and remained on the detector as well as the MMK most of the time. For clad hunting I generally would use three tone mode with Gain about 85.

yes the 7 " concentric is great , i love 5 khz, found 3 silver dimes this morning and a wheatie

The internal cable was one of the features that I like about the Impact. I will probably be getting an Impact as a Christmas/Birthday present to myself. I mainly relic hunt, and 90% if that is in the thick bush/woods. The internal cable would be welcomed to not get snagged on limbs.

I know what you are saying about the Impact having the coil cable run inside the rods instead of outside. It makes some sense on paper but not always when in use afield.

Back in my earlier days of detecting and at times through the years there have been other detector models that had the coil routed inside the rod that I used. Personally, I think it make a 'cleaner looking' appearance more than a 'functional' benefit. I've Coin Hunted since March of '65 and quite often I get into brushy over-growth in fringe areas of old parks and former, out-of-use picnic groves and recreation sites where I work the coils in heavy brush, but have never had a snag or tangle of the wrapped coil cable around the rod. I've Relic Hunted old places since May of '69 and that's primarily what I do, and that calls for working the coil up under and in and around dense sage brush or brushy and tree encroached sites, but still never a snag of the wrapped coil cables on any make or model detectors.

The key is to make sure the cable is wrapped snuggly so it doesn't have any loose or loopy fit to it. A loose and dangling cable can snag, but not a properly wrapped coil cable.

Just my experiences and opinions.
