The new 250 12-incher arrived yesterday..

And just in time as our deluge finally let up and it's supposed to be dry today so will give it a whirl if the weather cooperates. Done some air tests and it grabs that extra, needed, depth. Gets 12 inches plus on a half, 10-11 inches on a quarter, and around 9 inches on a dime. It may do even better in the real world. The extra weight is hardly noticeable so will be an easy swing. Will keep you all posted.

Yeah it's been raining here off and on so will have to dash out when it's dry.. Tried it a bit yesterday in a cleaned out park. Didn't find much so wasn't much of a test. It pinpoints just like the stock coil. I only found one quarter and it was at about eight inches. The park was muddy and wasn't conducive to happy detecting.

I've got to send my 250 in and get the pinpoint tweaked as it is really getting weak - but it was one of the very first ones to come off the line. You should knock em dead up there with all the silver around as you'll get a few more inches in depth. When do you think you will get yours?

I was wondering what Sensitivity setting did you use for the test? I already have mine on order but I guess it will be a few more week or so before it in. One more thing how is it on small gold or gold chain? Good hunting,Joe

Haven't checked it on that yet but will. I have some small nuggets I can check out with it. It reacts much the same as the standard coil, just covers more ground and goes deeper.
