THE MXT

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE MXT WORKS GOOD FOR DISCRIMINATING GOLD FROM METAL AND TIN, OR IS THERE ANOTHER ONE THAT WORKS BETTER?
I E-MAILED WHITE AND THEY SAID THAT THE MXT WOULD BE THE ONE FOR ME, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE THAT BEEN USING METAL DETECTORS FOR AWHILE. I HAVE A GOLD BUG, BUT I GET TIRED OF DIGGING UP NAILS, SPIKES, WIRE ETC
THANKS.

I think it should do just fine at telling the difference between nails & gold. I found an 18 KT gold pendant with my MXT & it IDed about like a nickel, but a little more jumpy on ID numbers. I almost never dig a nail with the MXT. But many gold items ID about the same as foil or pulltabs, this is the case on all detectors, as far as I know. HH, George (MN)
