The MXT Whisper

Okay this is an area I'm weak at. What is an example of the whisper? I'm asking if it is sound alone? Is it sound and a VDI reading? Is this a dumb question? :surrender:

I don't know about whispers, but when you get a very faint, light hit use all the info the MXT gives you. Trust your detector and what it is telling you.

This happened to me today. The first whisper(?) read a penny at 6". A couple of more sweeps and it read dime/ quarter with 1 bar.
That hole produced 1 penny, one dime, and one quarter at 6" +. Three to four inches away the scenario was repeated. This hole produced a penny, a nickel, and 4 dimes at 7". A third hole in the same area, produced a quarter, 2 pennies and 5 dimes, the last dime was at 9". The ground was wet clay. Very hard digging, but the depth measurement was dead on.

The MXT is an incredible detector if you take the time to learn it.

plidn1 said it. Yes, a "whisper" is a faint light sound. Usually always a deeper find or an extremely VERY tiny piece of metal about a few inches down. You've got to dig it.... HH, Nancy
