The full length (2 hours) movie is out it is for download or streaming it costs $ 8.94 and no I don't get any of the money but Brad Pitt plays me in the movie.

They took a long trip out to new york, Connecticut looking for coins and relics they dont usually see out in iowa.
 
The back story is this is 3 guys from Idaho with CTXs that head east to look for Colonial finds that they don't get out west. This is a very well made video about "Real" metal detecting without screaming and running around jumping in trees after finds. Check out the other videos they have made on you tube. Search Dirt Fishing America. For the previous free videos.
This is a different full length movie with a small fee. They hunt with a bunch of great hunters you have heard of and not heard of before. As far as metal detecting videos go this is top shelf stuff. IMHO

Just finished watching this epic adventure this morning.

Being from even further west than these Idaho boys, I can really feel the excitement that Brandon, Eric and TJ expressed when finding anything older than a wheat cent.

Great job filming guys, all of the closeups, angles and perspectives really makes it feel like I was there with you.

Brandon, AWESOME job on the editing and producing this great film. You certainly have film editing skillzz!



One thing I noticed and find interesting is that no "Seated" coins were unearthed. Every coin around them, but not a Seated.
Are Seated coins seriously that rare, even over there?

Again, great job!

Next trip...........Europe?
 
Yeah, not a sigle seated. As it was explained to me, seated coins are pretty rare out that way because paper script was popular in the east during that time period but only gold and silver were still accepted out west.
 
Seems they are pretty rare out here, too. Looks like you guys really scored on some old coins and some really cool bottles.

Congrats on finishing the movie Doc. As to getting booted.....It won't be by me. After a couple years of trying to maintain order on this site, I've have pretty well resigned myself to the fact that people are going to post what they want. Seems if I challenge them or edit their posts, they just get pissed and post ugly comments on other forums. For a volunteer job, it ain't worth the effort or the abuse.
