The Mother of all bottle caps

Yep back in the day pop bottles were a lot bigger than they are now.

that is just too funny. good lord thats a big one

Those darned crown caps..............

:biggrin:WOW, AMAZING!!------How deep was it & did it come in like a quarter??-----Must've come off of one of those nickel pops like we used to buy when I was a kid.

That's great! Too bad you didn't find the bottle to go with it.
BB

I think thats from the 10 cent bottle of pop of antiquity.......or a prototype kid's wading pool before plastic was invented.

Im guessing at one time it was painted Pepsi, 7 up or something. Im gonna try to sell it.

Well, I must be an old cuss 'cause I remember cork in the bottle caps. But then I remember the old bottle vending machines that kept it so cold there was a little ice on the top and how good it tasted on a hot day! RC Cola and a Moon Pie anyone?

Can't remember why we drilled the holes instead of popping the top .. Dumb Kids I guess:rofl:

He probably drilled a hole in the cap when it was still in the machine then catched the spill with a glass. Devious kids.

Seems to me like the hole in the top was so we could sip on it and it would last us longer and not spill so easy.Especially so, way back then a "Nickle" only bought so much. Yeah y'all, we done got to be some old dudes when we remember that stuff!! Great memories those are!! HH,Charlie
