"If you really love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, then you will not want to break the other commandments. If you really love God as you ought to, then you will not take His name in vain, have other gods before Him, or make images that you bow down before. And if you really love your neighbor as yourself, you will not steal from him. You will not covet what belongs to him. And certainly you will not kill him. So if we get these basics down of loving God and loving others as we ought to, then obeying the Ten Commandments will come naturally."

It's hard to break the commandments, if, we have rested our heads upon Jesus, like John the revelator did . . . that implies that we have a 'love' relationship to God instead of a legalized relationship to him. Note the difference between the disiples relationship to Jesus vs. the Jewish community at that time.

Yes, I agree with what you are saying , just elaborating on it ;-)

the Ten Commandments wouldn't be necessary! Great reminder!

Thanks for the words. Puts everything in perspective.
God bless,

Don't know if I have mentioned this on the forum before. There are some very important words people say in the Lords Prayer. " Forgive us as we forgive those who trespass against us." By these words we must have a clean heart with no ill will against anyone if we are to be forgiven.

to love God only and love one another as we love ourselves is the two commandments which the others rest on......fulfill these two and we will be like Jesus!!

God Bless!
