The trashy park type patterns are for very trashy park type sites that give you several low/mid tone hits per sweep in say the pre-set coins mode.In these sites the much tighter patterns will actually often produce more good targets per hour than a much more open pattern. The simple reason is you do not waste so much time analyzing so many non-coin targets but rather the E-Trac does it for you on the fly.

If we run these type patterns with a small coil the E-Trac is almost surgical in it's ability to pick the good and leave the bad.

Your nickel count will also increase dramatically most of the time in these type sites with the trashy park type patterns. Not all parks have 10" plus Indians,Barbers and Seated for that matter and do not require the snails pace with open discrimination to get the vast majority of desirable coin targets.

They are not the best choice for squeezing the last bit of depth and unmasking ability of the E-Trac but rather a great way to "cherry pick" the most amount of goodies in the least amount of time from those extremely trashy areas.

We have many options available with the versatility of the E-Trac .Two tone Ferrous is a killer in those old relic site that are plagued with millions of old "cut nails" and similar.

I 100% agree. I've run the super-tight trashy park pattern in a few hunts here at the end of the season in a super trashy park that I've pounded and pulled a ton of great coins that I've missed in previous sweeps. I've pulled 3 war nickels, 8 buffaloes and a V nickel too from a very small area too so it's an absolute killer for nickels. I've owned the E-Trac for 2 years now and I'm still amazed at it's versatility. What a great machine.

I would never stoop so low as to "cherry pick", no REAL detectorist would do that:rofl:

Just the last 5?? Heck, you seen me get most of the first 95 this year cherry picking. I have almost perfected it:detecting:

I'll bet you two guys just really have a blast hunting together!------That's GREAT, nothing like hunting with a good friend!----------Del
