this weekend for hunting. Nancy and I started out a day early before the club hunt and stayed an extra day after as well. I got to do some hunting all four days and all four of them were memorable. I will just have to let the pictures speak for themselves. The highlight of the finds for me was my first water hunting gold ring, not much, but hey a gold ring with a diamond is a gold ring with a diamond........ I hit the deep water Saturday afternoon and found coins, trash and fishing gear but it wasn't until I did some dry sand and shallow water hunting Sunday that one of the "foil targets", 11-11 on the CTX 3030, turned out to be a 14K promise ring....... I'll take it
I couldn't get one spot Nancy and I hunted Saturday out of my mind like it was calling to me, so Monday morning I went back and within minutes, found a 1902 Barber quarter just a few feet from the truck. Before I was ready to leave, I added two more IH's to the pouch and one of them was a 1909 plain, a semi key date and eight more wheats.
The last picture is from the winnings at the club hunt, the Seated half was for the oldest coin Saturday, 1895 IH and the Seated Quarter is for the Jewelry category Sunday. The rest of the silver was for various items that Steve C asked for. Some examples are: The silver quarter was for finding a 2010 cent, a silver dime for a toy find and another dime for entering anything in the Misc. category....... Everyone should have won something BTW, I did not win the oldest coin for Sunday or the weekend, I will let her tell that story...
I ended up with 9 silvers counting the silver nic, three IH's, 36 wheats, two tokens and a gold ring............
