The Money Tree

Today I took my MXT with 6" Excelerator to an old park for a hunt. When I arrived I noticed that park employees were working near the play ground. They had dug up some sod and in the middle of the work area they had dug a hole. I went over to talk with them and found that they were about to plant a tree. I ask if I could sweep the area where the sod had been removed and they granted me permission. I had only made a few sweeps when I located a couple of targets within inches of each other. One target read as quarter and the other as dime. I dug both targets recovering a silver 1942 quarter and a 1934 Mercury dime. I don't dig alot of silver coins, so I was pretty excited with the recoveries. After making those recoveries I continued with my hunt of the park. I recovered some clad, a junk ring,a key, a gold dollar, a foot charm, and a cool picture button of Elvis Presley. All in all not a bad day. HH Dennis in Idaho
