The Lord Humbled Me AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I watched a video of a young guy demonstrating a Garrett GTI 2500 along with the Garrett probe. He explained how the detector would tell you what is in the ground before you dug and so forth and at the end of the video, he opened his hand, which was full of clean coins and announced seventeen coins found in one hole. I quite frankly thought he was full of you know what and thought it was a poor way to promote the detector since many people might think you can simply go to the park and pay for the detector in one day. Then today I was at the park and I swept an area about 12 inches square and it sounded like a coin spill or a large bottle cap on the surface. I decided to investigate and after digging the first twenty five coins, my knees and back ached so bad, I began to pray the last coin I dug would be the end. By the time I dug about 35 coins, I began to get mad and it became a challenge to dig every coin in the hole. 54 pennies, 2 dimes and 1 nickel later, the hole was clean. I never worked that hard before I retired and it was by far the most difficult 79 cents I ever made. I haven't a clue why there would be so many coins in one hole but I suspect someone was sitting in that spot one day and thought that someday a fat old man with a MD is going to come by here and this should drive him nuts. At least he could have buried wheaties. From now on I will have second and maybe third thoughts about doubting anyones exploits in this hobby. HH Nampa 23

I know of a spot at our local fair grounds like that. It is so saturated with pennies that my challenge has always been to pull clad or nickels out from it without digging a penny. Did manage to pull a dime out from that spot today, but it's becoming harder to do as the amt. of clad there decreases.

I had a Garrett GTI 2500 and did not like that machine.

I also sometimes get tired of digging newer pennies. I get to a point in some places to discriminate-out newer pennies with my X-70 but I know I will sacrifice-lose some siver dimes and older pennies in the process.

I often wonder if I had an E-Trac if I could discriminate-out newer pennies and at the same time still dig most older pennies and silver dimes(with that 2-number ferrous-conductive E-Trac system)?? Maybe Randy(Digger) of someone else knows the answer to this question??

Sounds like the Lord blessed you many times. You can always put it in the offering plate. Good read and very interesting, hope you find lots more.
