here are some finds from the domain. I believ it was used from the late 1800s onwards. I believe it has been detected before by locals over a period of 5 or 6 years on and off. then last year it was donr as well. but in saying that I had some nice finds. 1902 silver british threepence, 1901 and 1904 penny in same hole.

4 other pennys 1940s-60s halfpenny 1911 halfpenny 1941 fun ho (nz brand) toy fire engine part. funny brass whats it tap thing made and patented bt christchurch mechanical works.

also lots of horse buckles but I have since found out the fence I detected these near, was about on the boundary of an early 1857-1908 settlers horse stables.

also the general rubbish coins. I reckon the prevous guys had gone over quite fast looking for silver coins. The silver 3 pence got a 9 on the xt50 but when I opened the plug it suddely shot up to the 30s. it was 6-7inches deep in clean sand.

the pile of rubissh coins and interesting wash up photograph and chuck out bits were interesting. a broken lead animal was 6 inches deep. maybe early. in the vicinty of the early coins.

Congrats on the very nice hunt! I really like that 3 pence! I had never seen one before. The tap is very cool find also, Beale.
