The last frontier. Hammered, sanded in beaches.

So go deep or stay at home ? Reading the posts and watching some u tube. There's quite a few machines that are known to go real deeep, that I haven't even been around. I'm going to name a few and maybe you guys can fill us in on them. I seen a air test on a Blisstool V6 (video) with a dime, that blew my mind.
Second the Garrett ATX pulse induction,I've read can go real deep. The XP Deus, is another along with the Nautilus. Every machine has pluses/ mineses .
Weight, durability, discrimination with depth. I know there's got to be other power houses out there. I also believe that at some depth below the average beach detector lays what we're looking for. Now some of you guys who only beach hunt would have a real good opinion on this . I'm hunting a Garrett Infinium & AT Pro when beach hunting now. But I'm looking around.

Just don't take TDI the Deus under water....
Air testing is for the birds, get a 5+ year old test garden and do the comparison yourself.
If you don't like test gardens, go to the "field" and do a side by side comparison yourself.

After a year with the ATX and 8 or so with the Infinium:
I find the ATX overcomes many of the shortcomings of the Infinium such as:
volume control, threshold, iron check, auto frequency select, motion and non-motion operation,
ease of use, sees smaller/deeper targets

then there are the cons:
heavier, off center lower rod attachment, cost of the detector and accessory coils compared to the Infinium,
the care and maintenance of the camlocks, weight, and others.

I'll stick with my ATX in the environment it is best suited, same goes for the Infinium, ATPro, and 8 other detector I have.

The bliss tool has the depth that will drop your jaw but the truth is, it's because the machine is very high gain. There's a huge catch to the high gain game: tons of noise and instability. Generally, in anything less than ideal conditions, the bliss tool has to be turned way down, at which point it's not the depth monster anymore. The bliss tool videos, in my opinion, are misleading, and they are filmed in areas where the detector works best, not just anywhere. Some smart folks caught on to this and lots of eyebrows have been raised at the bliss machines. I will send you a PM with a video

I only hunt the beach and shallow water and have managed to acquire 15 detectors and one magnetometer and 5 custom scoops.

I don't worry about depth on the beach anymore. East coast of Florida is a high energy beach, it's about beach erosion, reading the beach, coil coverage and than good knees and back.

Pure depth in wet sand
White's TDI with 18" T foot coil

Wading shallow water
Detector Pro HHPI with Eric Foster custom 10" coil ( 2 other HHPIs with stock coils)

Wet sand with discrimination
4 modified Excals (12x15 SEF, 10x12 SEF, 12" Sunray coil and Excal 11 10 inch on a sword)
Sovereign XS 2 Pro with 10x12 SEF

Diving with discrimination
4 stock Excals ( 3 Swords, one 800)

Diving for iron
Aqua Pulse mag with 4 foot pointer ( 10 to 12 foot depth on a cannonball)

Dry sand light wading
White's MX5 w 13" Ultimate coil
Detector Pro Diver

Even with all that the sanded in beaches will take it's toll on your knees, elbows etc.

Hi Dancer,i use a whites beach hunter id and garrett seahunter mk2 so a similar set up to you in a way.The whites I use on the top half of the beach and the seahunter at the bottom half.
I would imagine that you've got it got it covered with your detectors and I don't think swapping to a tdi,or any other machine will greatly increase your finds to be honest. We all look for that miracle detector that will get us pocket loads of jewellry but it just is'nt going to happen.......if it was out there everybody would own that single machine.
I don't take much notice of you tube videos either......i like to test a machine myself before I start believing all the claims on these videos, how do you know the tester is'nt biased towards one machine and fiddles with the settings accordingly.
I've also heard wild claims for depth on certain detectors such as the nautilus.I used a nauti for years on inland sites and it found me more stuff than any other detector i've used, yes they are deep but not as deep as some of the wild claims i've read.
Also,a deus is'nt one of the deepest machines out there either and they are average on the wet sand at the beach.
I'd stick with what you've got to be honest regarding the pi,perhaps upgrade the at pro for a deeper discrim machine because they are'nt the greatest wet sand detector for depth.......hope you don't mind me saying.

I've been asked if I find items deeper than what other people may detect. That's hard to say. I don't mind detecting a beach behind several other detectorists and if I'm digging and they're not I guess that is some kind of indication that I am.

Here's an example.
