The Key To Alcatraz!!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
It's been so horrendously hot here in Southern California throughout this Summer. I live only 15 minutes drive from the big fires in the Cajon Pass on the 15 freeway so between the heat and being so busy with things, I have not been detecting at all for so long. I broke away from my busy schedule and went to a play area in a local park and got these items in 45 minutes! I Not a bad little haul for such a short hunt.
I love detecting in wood chips because they can easily hide a lot of coins and jewellery because of the patchy shades of brown....almost as good as camouflage!!!
One of the pennies ( a wheat) is 1951, my birth year! so although these finds are not much to shout out about, it was a bit of a landmark with me being able to swing a coil after so long a time. Can't wait for cooler weather to come and detecting some gold and silver targets!!!

I thought I was posting on 'Today's Finds Forum'.............ah well!...enjoy!lol

Hey there GS. You always seem to be pulling good loot out of the ground. Hope those fires stay well away from you. Keep posting.

Thank you Sanderling and B.H.P!! It was just soooo good to get out again and swing a coil! I'll be getting out a lot more now that the temp's are dipping away from around the 100F mark!! G.L. and happy hunting to you all!!
