I had the F75SE hooked up with the NEL Sharpshooter coil. My settings: Boost Mode, 50 Sensitivity, 7 Discrimination, 4H Tones.
I decided to head back to where I found all those silver coins for last few days to see if I missed anything. Yep, a 1924 worn thin mercury dime. It gave a faint signal but I knew that it was silver. A complete grid search of the area didn't turn up anything else except for a clad dime and a really deep 1916 wheat penny. I only found 6 wheat pennies today and most were really old. I decided to move to a new location to improve my odds. Right off I got a dream audio signal with ID numbers bouncing up in the low 90's. I was smiling from ear to ear thinking a big silver coin, maybe even a silver dollar. Nope it turned out to be one of the largest size 925 silver wedding bands that I've seen. I'll take it, but I'm still on the warpath for big silver coins! The next target the audio was screaming silver coin all the way. It turned out to be a very clean 1957 Washington Quarter. After grid searching the area I headed out for another location. Right off I got a good signal next to sidewalk. It turned out to be a 1950 Rosie dime and was my 35th silver coin for the month. It was little past noon and I almost decided to call it a day and save some for tomorrow, but I decided to push on. I got another high tone and flashing high ID numbers. It turned out to be a deep 1943 War Nickel. They do that sometimes when they're deep. The last coin for the day was a 1933 Mercury Dime. It was 1:00 o'clock and I was ready to head for the house. One more day left in the month!
