I did a post backing out of a whites dfx and getting a Ace 250. Man did I get Bashed on E-mails about that. People just damn right nasty. Hey dfx is a good machine but and the key word is BUT. for a 199.00 dollars the 250 is a god send. No more needs to be said. The finds and posts speed for themselves. Cannot keep the 250 in stock. Wonder why. All other machines are in stock. Went to a ghost town outside of Kingman Az. got a 55 quarter 1919 standing lib quarter and 37 merc dime. Dime was almost 8 inches down. Thats excellent for any detector.I banked a hundered out if my deal got a super set of phones for 50 bucks the other 50 is for the 4 inch coil when it comes out. If a larger coil is in the works that combo {3 coils and the 250} imo will kick butt on many 800 to 1000 dollar detectors. Good luck Loopswinger.
 
I have never owned a White`s but the DFX and XLT look like great machines if you want to play with all the menu features. My freind has the XLT and is great with computers and electronics but after using it for awhile he is ready for a change. I think you made a great choice and i may get one before the year is up. I can`t wait to hear what every one thinks of the 4.5 coil on this. It may be one heck of a setup in trash areas.
 
Yeah I don't understand these people. I just ignore them and consider the source. Besides, what's it to them what kind of detector you buy. It ain't no skin off their rump and hasn't cost them a dime.

hey loopswinger some folks need to spend their money, an get ALL bells an whistles they can. Then they get in forum an ask for help to learn to operate their high dollar toy.
i've had my lil yellow fella before christmas , put my Minelab explorer in the truck most of the tyme. The 250 is a god send i think an i can swing it all day, it does great on the beach or just land huntin, just keep on keepin on, those cronic grippers will fade! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
Yeah I've parked all eight of my machines in favor of the 250.
