THE GTI 2500 AND THE BATTERY PACK

[size=medium]Hi guys,

I will share a tip you may find useful.

The 2500 (as some other models) has a battery pack than can be slided out on a plastic "rail" for belt carrying, however due to use it sometimes slides out by itself when raising the coil up too much, resulting in the battery pack droping to the ground. After a few days considering the problem, I just went out a purchased one of those hot silicon glue guns that use plastic sticks, melted a small drop on each of the 4 screws that disassemble the battery pack, let it cool for a couple of minutes and then slided in the battery pack (with a little pressure)... Voil

my son has a gti 1500 and it has the same battery pack and we have never had the problem of the pack siding out. the battery pack fits very tight and you have to push very hard to get it out. that's strange how one can be so different from another.

Like I said, probably a production glitch. I'd just send it in and get it corrected. Doubt there would be any charge and absolutely none if it is still under guarantee.

Bill
