Well I havent taken my explorer out for six weeks due to the very dry ground and of course the crazy heat.I tried a few times and I just couldnt dig! Plus I didnt want to ruin the lawn. Well lately we had some nice rains and I decided to take my explorer for a little walk to my dependable grove I always talk about. Well I got out of the truck and turned it on,walked about 20 feet and heard the "warble" sound! Which I really didnt hear before(still getting used to the machine). I dug about 5 inches and the ground was a little clumpy that deep and I seen a silver edge in a small clup of ground that came out.I carefully peeled it away and BAM I got my seated dime! Im was thinking merc or rosie but it was an 1890 and pretty good shape.I got my phone out and took a pic to send it to my wife(dont think she really cared but I had to show someone). Its just a beautiful sight to see that silver! Then about a foot away got another signal and it was an 1886 indian head! Inbetween the two was a big old rusty nail which is probably what all the other detectorists were hearing and passed right over the goodies. A little later I found a wheatie that had a rusty bolt in the same hole,Just AMAZING!! Then I also found, what I believe to be an old hair pin type peice shaped like a butterfly,Really cool. I was only there about an hour and a half,so it was a great hunt. I cannot believe this grove is still rewarding me! Thanks for looking
