The Ground is thawed....

Hello Everybody!

I grabbed my digging screwdriver from out of the basement and headed outside late this afternoon. Found a couple places where I could poke into the ground so I headed over to the local hunted-to-death-by-everybody-park. This park has some south facing hills that tend to be amoung the first places to thaw. I think most of my other sites will need a few more days to be detectable.

Decent signals, as expected, were few and far between. First coin of the year was a clad dime. Was hoping for a better omen. I did manage a no-date buffalo, a wheat, and a 1892 barber dime.

As usual the best signals came in the places that where still frozen.

I have both the 8" Concentric and 4.5x7 on order. Hoping I can sneak a few more coins out of the trash with these. I will let everyone know my opinion as soon as I get a few hours on them.

Chris

Not sure if the weather is going to get cold enough to refreeze or not.
