The Green Fella was Itching for a hunt so we went for a walk...

I found a new hill to scan near a soccer field :detecting:....I love them hills:crazy:. People sure do like a birds eye view from a grassy hill and the goodies are just waiting to be had:thumbup:.I was slobbering:laugh: the whole way there and the 550 was more than happy to make my day. Pulled $6.13 just off the top of the hill I'll have to go back and do the sides.I was hunting in all metal mode and dug everything. I was surprised that some of the readings indicated junk and were actually coins:shrug:. The bell tone had it right though:clap:.I found four of the quarters stacked in a nice neat straight vertical pile at 3" deep:yo:.The $2 coin had its centre portion slightly popped open ...can't really notice it in the photo. I put the coin in a vice and squeezed her back together after I took the photo:yikes:.
:nopity:I ache all over:stretcher:... the honey bunny had me working in the garden all morning and then I was cutting grass for 2 1/2 hours. I was out for an hour and a half with the green fella and it made my day:hot:.

Great hunt Spanky. I like those hills over looking sports fields too! Those belltones are pretty well all coins, aren't they. :)

Nice walk Spanky, sounds like your getting whipped into shape for the season. :stretcher:

Hey, also you may want to check more closely on that toonie center popping out, from what I heard years ago when the toonies first came out they had mint mistake with the first batch. The centers were popping out, of course they corrected this mistake right away. Thats a keeper, Great find Spanky. :yikes: :detecting: Dave

popping out. A fella at work told me the same thing. To late....the vise put teeth marks on the coin....live and learn I say. Probably never find another like it.
Sometimes I have a brain burp and this was one of them.

Bummer, but I would still hold on to it. You may find another.
Hey what year is it, I would like to check some toonies I have found. Dave

I think I spent one of those the other day, oops.:yikes:
Since I started finding some of the older coins I'm beginning to get an interest back for coin collecting; many years ago I had a nice collection going, until my loving brother ripped me off. Dave
