Okay, by popular demand, I am going to tell you the story about Chuckie Baker. Now, remember in Chapter 4, Chuckie told me the next summer, he was going to kiss me. Of course, I told him he certainly would not, and that was that! And at the beginning of the next summer, I can

"Chuckie was the cutest" Hmm, maybe, just ,maybe.
Good story. Always looking forward to the "next, exciting, episode". Remember that line from any good radio series??
All the best

I really liked your story, sis.
That ole' gravel pit was a real charmer back then. We had so much good, clean fun! I wish my kids could get into something like that.
Guess we'll just have to write about it. I don't think they will leave their computer games.
What's 'flittin'' anyways.

Sis, that's really hilarious, and has the ring of absolute truth stamped all over it! Yeah, we had a gravel pit when I wuz a kid, too, but it was near the railroad tracks and Ruby Hill, where the KKK used to burn crosses when I was a small child. One of my best friends drowned in one of those pits -- The police figured his swimming trunks (cut-off Levis) got caught in some rusty, frayed old frayed dredge cable, although he was a pretty good swimmer. We still swam in gravel pits, but never again in THAT one! -- Thanks for a great story. -- Ol' Frank in Wheat Ridge, Colorado

pit was did not have any water in it. It was simply for gravel, but we did have a bunch of "blue holes" close to us in Bauxite, where we were strictly forbidden to go, but went anyway. My parents would have whipped all three of our butts had they found out. They were really quite dangerous, and I, as a mother, forbade my girls to go to them, but they did anyway. My oldest, (now 32) got the belt used on her when she was 16, because I found her at one! But that's another story!

only have one more story concerning Chuckie, poor guy!

around, all showing out and flirty. That's called flitten. And you probably remember Deloris. Seems she was a very early bloomer, and had boobs when most of us hadn't even thought of them.

it is good to hear that you thought just like humans.
It is an interesting window in a time long ago though and you do it well!!
Thanks

wrapped around their little fingers! Some of them I felt sorry for. But back then was nothing like the young girls are now! Good grief, it has to be something in the beef!
