I did three relic hunts this week, found two well worn 1850ish coppers and about 30 brass 50 cal. ammo casings and a few other somewhat interesting things. A farmer told me there was a German WWII bunker just a few hundred feet from the field I was detecting, they blew it up after WWII. I do not think I will ever find a Celtic or Roman coin/relic here, LOL. This morning I was thinking where to go detect and remembered there was a big volley ball competition several weeks ago at the beach just 10 minutes away. I thought I would give the beach a few hours then do a relic hunt. Had to pay 1 Euro to park for two hours, plenty of time as I did not want to stay too long. Well I started finding coins here and there and had a good time digging in the sand, just before I quit, I quickly counted the loot, around 15 Euros ($20ish) and about $1.00 in American clad. Not bad I thought and headed to the car. It was a beautiful day on the beach and lake watching the sail boats and digging coins, no jewelry today. By the way, I did not have my water detecting gear with me or I would have done a water hunt. A guy walking by told me they are going to lower the lake by 3 meters this winter. I got back to the car, put the gear away and started to drive off, noticed a piece of paper under the wiper blade. Thought I got car spammed and yanked out the paper. Looked at the paper and see my license number in the middle, dang, it
