The good, the bad & the ugly

Ok so I am new at this surf hunting. This morning was my 4th attempt with the PI pro. The sea was calm and I hunted in water waist deep. The area is visited by tourists from cruise ships. There are floating trampolines and a floating mountain to climb . Then on the jetty there is a sort of swing...you hold on to a rope and they swing you out. You let go and drop into the sea. This is in deeper water, so I cant hunt near these at present. I am going to purchase a set of mask & snorkel later; but for now I am hunting up to waist deep water.
My results this time out was an improvement in that I got some coins....unfortunately no jewelry. I guess that will come in time.
Heres the "good, bad & ugly"

It takes time to learn your machine. When you learn how it talks to you then you should do better.

SD.. A PI takes patience... I know I use one :) The gold will come for you... Look at it this way, you're getting rid of the trash so you listen for the deep whispers...

I have had my PI since last July and I hated it and wanted to take it back when I first started with it and then I found my first ring and its been nothing but fun since... :) Just stay away from the wet/dry sand and stick to water only and the jewelry finds will come.

And if they don't, you can come water hunting with me :)

Thanks Craig.
I aint giving up now. However if your water temp was like mine 78F then I would definately catch the next flight out to CT:cheers:
Thanks again for your support. I will keep you posted.
BTW I am not hunting the wet sand. I am in water up to my waist, sometimes deeper.I plan to buy a mask and snorkel so I can go a bit deeper where the tourist jump on the trampolines. There I should at least get a Rolex.:lol:
Maybe I need to go to a beach thats frequented by the older crowd.
