The good, the bad and the crappy.

First, the good. I decided to detect an area that I've thought about hitting for a couple years now. Within 10 -15 minutes I had my first good find

About a foot away I got another solid dime hit

(no, it's not a D :D )

A few minutes later I uncovered this

Now I'm beginning to think I'm gonna have a fistful of silver before the days through. Unfortunately, the bad news is I didn't find much after the quick start. After about 4 more hours I had only found clad coins and junk.

Now for the crappy. As I was getting ready to call it a day, I realized I had lost my Vibraprobe :rage: I searched unsuccessfully for nearly two hours. I had to laugh because of the irony of losing something while detecting  Guess I can look again tomorrow :sadwalk:
All said, I still had fun finding the silver

HH All,

Travel to your nearest independent hardware dealer and buy a can of orange or red day-glo spray paint. Yep, when you find or replace your hand held probe, spray that sucker's probe and part of the handle where it's touched the least by your hand. Lots easier to spot where youi left it if it's ugly day-glo orange or red rather than black, blue, or green or some other pretty factory color.

Ray has his probe painted to look like a fried chicken leg. He never loses his.
