The Good Team...

Big Lake water temp came up 5 pts overnight, from 50degrees to 55! I've been wearing the wetsuit, and in it at sun-up both days....yesterday all I got with the Pro was 4Q's from one pocket spill in chest deep water...but I went and ransacked a park on the way home with the F70 and picked up a few bucks clad and an old small silver ring, (maybe 2gr, hit like a dime at 3")...I like to at least make gas money/outing...
This am I found a decent cut and hit all this stuff, including the big stainless ring and the Dollar coin...the Pro is amazing in the water!...one of the Q's is a Canadian...you can tell from looking at the picture I was in a good cut...[attachment 297560 stainless.jpg]

I really enjoy how these two different machines get along, they both use the same batteries, and when the Pro says its 'done' with them, I put them in the 70 and get another 10-15hrs...not only that, but used in conjunction, they seem to make a guy a better overall hunter...each ones strengths maximize the others...make any sense? I only use the Pro in the water and on the beach, have never once tried it shooting clad on the dirt.. the 70 gets the fast totlot/clad/field work..and a little beachwork/shallow water from time to time...they are a heck of a team..they both find me gold and silver...anybody else have a team of rigs that seem to get along nicely? A guy cant go wrong with good team support!

Nice finds for your effort, Mud. Glad you're getting out. I actually prefer colder weather myself, it keeps the other detectors out of the water. Looking forward to November when they lower the water and I can rent a wetsuit and work the deeper water where the life guard stand used to be. The guys with the PI's have cleaned up the water up to about neck deep and I hope they are at work some where when the water comes down and I can find some good jewelry and older coins. GL & HH.

Good hunt Mud! That is amazing how the AT Pro states your batteries are pratically dead yet the F70 can run on them for another 10-15 hrs. Your F70 runs on fumes!

It makes me wonder if the meter is correct or not. There shouldn't be that much juice left in those batteries to run a F70 for 10-15 hours if the power is properly regulated on the AT Pro. Maybe that is the problem.

Good outing Mud:thumbup: Great thoughts on the team Pro/F70 angle, and yep, I like to at least get enough jingle for petro to:biggrin: And, more dollar coins in circulation here would help that endeavor nicely:biggrin:

I'm going to check on what's left on those Pro battery's next time. See if the Ace can squeeze anymore out.
For mudhunting, I usually lead with the Pro. Than in the outfields (if not too trashy) I mop up with the Inferno. After that the trashy areas go to the Compadre or the Ace. Now that the baseball tournaments are about over and football coming on, mud hunting is picking up.
