After seeing Roma and Edith's finds, I decided to take some time off of chasing "Bambi's" with my bow and arrows and head down to the beach.
The water is unseasonally warm. It didn't even feel chilly on my legs, while hunting the surf lane, in sandals.
There's some cuts that are filling in, but targets where scattered all over the wet sand. The only'est person I saw was a dude with an Excal who didn't seem very sociable, so I don't know how he had done. He was hunting real slow, but he looked like he knew what he was doing.
The diggin' was steady and gold eluded me till the last half hour of the hunt, then I got a 18Kt. cross and a 14Kt. ring, both about 40 yards apart.
Weather's suppose to stay bad, so I'll probaly go again before Friday. I've always got my best rings this time of the year, so that's incentive enough for me.
I threw in a pic of a little buck that posed for my trail camera. Hopefully his "daddy" will be in my freezer by the end of the season.
