The General got me to thinking about getting new cell phones for both me and the perky Nancy .....

Ours are about 5 years old and new batteries cost more than re-upping for another two year contract where we get two new phones for free.

I'm not nearly as smart as Bubba and Bean but a little smarter about electronics than Elson (who by the way hasn't even set up his cell phone message system cause Betty hasn't shown him how or done it for him) so I elected to get a phone that just makes and receives calls, takes cute photos of grandkids, and has bluetooth so I can talk hands free through our Garmin GPS when on a road trip.

I'm kind of like the Italian who went into the cell phone store to order a "Halo Statue" ... and was told nicely he was in the wrong type of store. The Italian held his thumb and pinky fingers to his ear and mouth, shook his head and said, "U donna unstand, I wanna "Halo Statue" (Hello, is that you?)

I can't stand that. Seems to me that people who do that think that they are so much more important than the rest of us. It's like, "I have to be ready at all times, never know when Homeland Security is gonna call me up in order to diffuse that bomb !" You may as well be walking around with tin foil on your head so the mother ship can call ya back home. Besides, I'm not sure that I'd want all of those Microwaves so close to my brain pan all of the time. That's the way I see it.
