That good old GTI 2500 hangs in the bedroom on a bookshelf. It's been seeking attention for some time, so today I took it out for a spin. I hunted with a body who was using his AT Pro. We both had a lot of fun! He beat me $$$ wise, as he go 2 loonies. The best I could do is a quarter......

Here's another ineresting find....a 3 Merry Widows Container. If you don't know what it is, look it up yourself.....

Below are a few more older finds from the day. :)

me i love my gti . relic hunting i use my 5x10 scorcher coil no holes to hang up good septeration and depth i run sens at 10 or 11 mode zero and bi livel plus bell tone this gives me three tones . in zero mode the gti is very quick . if i'am in a spot with not much trash and wan't to go deep i run in all metal that makes the the gti the deepist metal detector i have ever had and it will id in all metal . i have had the fisher 1270 . tesoro vaquero tesoro tejon Teknetics G2 Minelab QUATTRO all are good md but will not match the depth of the gti in all metal . hay John what coil did you use tell us more about the hunt ....richard

I just used the standard imaging coil. My other favorite coil is the sniper coil in true all metal mode. I do like the imaging feature available on certain coils. And it does go real deep in true all metal mode.

Would be interesting to test both detectors on every signal. The true head to head face off. I am going to ask my buddy who uses an etrac to test every signal and compare.

Also, if you would please try this nail test on your AT Pro against the GTI 2500 and let me know what happens. Place four 12D common nails in a square with ends touching and place a quarter in the center. Test the target responses and report findings.
