The four boxes

Ok ctxers I got a question how can I get my ctx to have the warble or flute sound when I hit silver quarters don't even sound anywhere as good as when I hit them with my etrac and one last thing what is everyone's opinion on how I should set up the boxes I just want silver silver lights my fire!!! And 1 more thing my target numbers are different in comparison to the etrac. In my opinion I think the ctx does better with emi than the etrac and the recovery is faster but my learning curve is very slow so anyone's input is appreciated.
Thanks Steve

Hi Steve
I do not think you can get the fluty Etrac sound. I wish you could, I miss it. I have had my CTX since its release in May and have found more silver this year than any other year since 1998. I use the factory Coin program and the combined program. I have my user button programmed to last mode and I switch between the two.
My last 2 detectors were purchased from New England Detectors an Etrac and then the CTX. Can not say enough good about the Company and their customer service.

Well... I will say that so far I am a fan of combined. Gonehunting and digger have some excellent programs to download. Set your last bin up somewhere around 40 or 41-50 @ 1200khz (or whatever makes your head pop) and dig um. You will be getting silver... But you'll also be getting clad pennies (wheats and other older pennies), dimes and quartes.

Hi Steve, sadly I have to agree with ptdigger and say that the Minelab silver warble is gone on the CTX. I already saw it starting to disappear from my Explorer Se Pro to the E-Trac and from the E-Trac to the CTX it has disappeared.

As for how to set up combined, go on youtube and look for Gonehuntings settings video, he explains exactly how to do it.

As for the numbers, I am finding that most targets hit about 2 points higher on the TID scale than they did with my E-Trac. Now this isn't always the case but on the higher end of the scale (pennies/dimes/quarters) I have noticed a shift of about 2 points higher a lot of the time.

Don't be frustrated about the flutey warble being gone. In it's place Minelab has given us a a lot of other technology that goes deeper and is more stable so you can get the good stuff that others can't.

Hope this helps -Marc
