their faces, it made me cry! They are our best friends, and they depend on us! They would NEVER leave us! I know you all kid me about my critters, but I get so attached. I'm like Butch, if I go, they go. If I couldn't manage it, I'm afraid I would have to stay and take my chances! And like Orlando, I just pray to God that someone comes along to their rescue! Obviously, these pets were not very well loved!

One story that really pulled at my heart was a little 89 year old woman would not evacute because of her little dog. She wanted to take him with her, since she had had him for 12 years. Finally, she and the dog were air lifted! Way to stick to you guns, honey!

I know our Humane Society has accepted many pets, from tropical birds, to guinea pigs. They are keeping them for some of the evacuees who had no place to keep them, but at least they brought them with them for safe keeping.

Geez, you could see the tears in the what appeared to be a boxer type dog swimming! How awful! Bet they didn't get FEMA Mastercards!!!

While some folks will take me to task, I feel that these animals are a valid member of the family and should be given some consideration in rescue operations. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)
