The first day of the first month...what significance does that have?

A new beginning! Beginning of a new year. Beginning of a new tax cycle. Beginning of another year of detecting. Beginning of a resolution to do (fill in the blank with lose weight, get organized, etc.).

I think the first day of the first month has real significance. Remember how the world was so full of evil that God caused a great flood? How only a few were saved - Noah and his family. Have you ever read or wondered what it must have been like on the ark when Noah finally opened up the ark after the rains had stopped and the land became visible again?

Ge 8:13

I am hoping to do a few things better this year, and the first one is to grow closer to God! :)

to Faith Tabernacle Church out of Newburg, MO, at a Watch Night Service. My sister-in-law's mother had told me to pray that God would give me all that he wanted me to have to serve Him in 1987! Well, that was what I was praying all through the services and after arriving home about 2:30 am, I slept until 11:00 am. So, after awaking, I read my Bible and holding it on my lap, I still kept praying God, give me all you want me to have to serve you in 1987 and all of a sudden...my first poem came forth giving Him praise, after I was truly saved and was baptized again in water and probably the Holy Spirit Baptism. I first gave my life to Jesus when I was 13...but I really did not live for Him like I do now. I made many, many mistakes and suffered the consequences of it! Well, the poem came out so fast that I could hardly write it all down. Was not like the ones I write by the Holy Spirit's inspiration now.

Now it will be 20 years tomorrow morning Jan 1, 2007 since I started writing poetry for Jesus...although I had written some before while I was a member and then secretary of the coinshooter's club to which I still belong. My ex and I had joined in July, 1981. The club formed in Jan 1980!!

Well that's my story and I will be still writing poetry for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as long as I am able to do so through the guiding inspiration the Holy Spirit gives me until I am called Home or unable to do so!

May you serve the Lord gladly in whatever calling He has for you to glorify and praise Him, for we each are called into service for Jesus after we become saved and born again as a new creation in Him!

The Lord is good and is greatly to be praised! Glory, Hallelujah to the Lamb of God Whose precious name is Jesus!

God Bless and may you and yours be blessed with even more than you think you can contain....may His love overflow your heart with His bounty of blessings!
